Hale & Hearty is a series of food kiosks and small retail spaces that sell soups, sandwiches and other lunch options with a strong emphasis on healthy, natural ingredients. The owners wanted to move away from the very literal interpretation of the original Lexington Avenue store, particularly its suggestions of cooking. TCA provided a solution that included "bean walls," natural materials with a focus on the food, particularly the fresh ingredients. TCA developed five prototype stores that continue to serve the quick-but-healthy lunch market in Manhattan.
